What are Journey Groups?
At Connection Fellowship Journey Group is a group of people (ideally made up of 10-15 people) that meet together once a week in someone’s home to have community with one another, study the Bible together, and pray for each other. The Purpose of Journey Groups at Connection Fellowship Church is to glorify God through Gospel-centered, consistent fellowship: includes prayer, doing life together, service, accountability, transparency, mission, growing in biblical knowledge and application. This is central to our plan for making disciples. Whether you have just become a Christian or have been a Christian for some time, Journey Group’s are a non-threatening environment to meet new friends, get more connected to the church and grow in your relationship with Jesus.
Why Journey Groups?
At Connection Fellowship we strongly believe that discipleship happens in community. What we mean is that no one is meant to follow Jesus alone. After all, the Bible teaches us that we were “Created for Community.” God has designed us to be in a relationship with Him and others. We believe that the support provided by a gospel-centered community is an essential component to being in a relationship with Jesus. Some of the benefits of being connected are:
- Authentic Christian Community
- Bible Study
- Prayer
What if I need childcare?
We understand that having children can sometimes make it more difficult to join a Community Group. But we don’t want there to be any deterrent to people getting into community here at Connection Fellowship. Most of our Journey Groups have childcare provided. Please email the Journey Group leader of the group you are planning on attending and ask them what their group does. As well, you can contact us at connect@34.194.141.167 for that information.
How do I get connected?
Right now, the best way to get connected to a Connection Fellowship Journey Group is by contacting us at connect@34.194.141.167.
